Abstract Samuel and his wife Lillie Rice Marchick were born in Ostrovo, Poland. Relatives brought Samuel Marchick to Denver, Colorado in 1904. In 1908, he sent for his wife and three sons. Three daughters were born in Denver. The family moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming and opened a clothing store and pawn shop. Samuel Marchick bought and opened the Tivoli building. Rayor Family Torah Ark Curtains

Abstract The Jewish community in Cheyenne, Wyoming, committed to building a new synagogue around 1950. The leaders of the community, including Bernard Leon Rayor, equally provided the funds for the building. When Mt. Sinai Congregation was completed, B.L. Rayor donated the ark curtains, which were left unused because his name was embroidered on them. The curtains were rediscovered in storage.
